My name is Sara Krall, and I am the owner of Regarding You Therapy and Consultation Services, LLC. I am a licensed clinical social worker in Wisconsin and have over 16 years of experience working in the domestic violence field at both local and statewide levels. My clinical experience includes providing in-home family therapy, as well as intensive outpatient treatment and teletherapy for children and teens. I am recognized by the Wisconsin Association of Certified Domestic Violence Intervention Professionals (WACDVIP) as a DV Intervention Professional in-training, currently receiving programmatic mentorship and guidance from a long-standing WACDVIP provider, Melony Hansen.

I created Regarding You to fill an observable gap in Wisconsin. Most counties in the state offer domestic violence advocacy services for those who have been victimized, yet many areas do not have abuse intervention treatment programming available locally for those who have used violence in their intimate relationships. This disparity in available services reinforces the harmful stereotype that victims can and should leave abusive relationships, when the reality is that often is incredibly complex, not the safest, nor what the victim may want. My vision is to create a mobile DV treatment program serving areas of southern Wisconsin, partnering closely with local community stakeholders to bring abuse intervention programming to places with currently no options or very limited options.

I believe that people should be given a chance to understand what has led to their use of violence in relationships and learn healthy relationship and conflict resolution skills. I expect those who are a part of my groups to examine the function of their abusive behaviors and take ownership of the harm they caused, while committing to learning and practicing different skills and strategies rooted in non-violence. I will not shame or criticize, and I will Regard You every step of the way.
