Domestic Violence Assessments

We offer two types of DV assessments. People who are self-referred and/or paying for the assessment themselves are offered a discounted rate and receive an abbreviated assessment summary. Mandated assessments come with a more comprehensive report.

  • Client will participate in two one-hour virtual appointments, and Regarding You will conduct collateral interviews with current and/or former intimate partners, all of which are designed to identify patterns of harmful behavior, level of risk, and treatment needs. It is commonly used for court, probation, or CPS.

     The assessment includes:

    • A review of the individual’s history of abusive or controlling behaviors, to include contacting current or former partner(s)

    • Identification of risk factors and level of risk related to future violence and lethality

    • Screening for substance use, mental health concerns, and psychosocial stressors

    • Assessing beliefs about accountability and intimate relationships

    • Assessing readiness for change as well as group appropriateness (if seeking to participate in DV groups)

    • A written, comprehensive report of the DV assessment findings
